RC4-1/260 is a RC type surge suppressor designed to reduce the maximum overvoltage peak value and to limit the high pre-damping voltage frequencies that occurs on the control circuit when operating a contactor. The opening of a contactor coil can causes high voltage surges of several kV that can cause interferences and damages to sensitives electronic in the installation. The RC4-1/260 can operate une control voltage within 110 ... 260 V AC 50/60 Hz. The RC4 surge suppressor is mounted directly on the AFC contactor, either on top or bottom, and is including the coil connection terminals. RC4 are designed specifically for AFC contactors or NFC relays.
