Description

Miniature circuit breaker for panel protection

This miniature circuit breaker protects electrical panel circuits against overload and short-circuit conditions. It is used in machine control, auxiliary distribution and modular panel sections where the protected feeder must be clearly identified and disconnected by a dedicated device.

Rated current, curve and breaking capacity

rated current 80 A; breaking capacity 10 kA; poles 4; tripping curve D. Selection must follow the rated current of the feeder, the required pole arrangement, the available short-circuit level and the tripping curve suited to the load. Curve B, C or D identifies the magnetic trip behaviour and helps coordinate the device with downstream loads and upstream protection.

Panel service and identification

During commissioning, label the protected circuit, verify terminal tightening and check the mechanical operating position before energizing the feeder. In maintenance, compare rated current, pole configuration, curve and breaking capacity before replacement, then repeat continuity and isolation checks.

Clear circuit marking reduces errors when several modular breakers are installed side by side. It also helps technicians distinguish feeders with the same pole count but different current rating, curve or breaking capacity.

Before the panel is returned to service, operate the breaker manually, confirm the ON and OFF positions and verify that the protected load matches the circuit marking. This final check keeps the protective device, conductor path and maintenance record aligned.

When several feeders share the same distribution row, keep the breaker label aligned with the terminal numbering and downstream load name.

Miniature circuit breaker for panel protection

This miniature circuit breaker protects electrical panel circuits against overload and short-circuit conditions.
