Description

Motor protection circuit breaker for starter panels

This component protects a motor feeder in starter panels by combining manual switching with thermal and magnetic protection. It is installed upstream of contactors or starter assemblies so the line can be coordinated with the motor load.

Main technical data

The technical configuration of this family includes thermal and magnetic protection, phase failure detection, 3 poles, Ui 690 V, Uimp 6 kV, 50/60 Hz, trip class 10A and magnetic trip at 13 x In; Icu 15 kA at 400 V; current setting 20-25 A.

Panel use and installation

In the electrical panel, the product should be matched with the compatible device family, the wiring diagram and the function assigned to the circuit. Correct selection keeps protection, command, signalling and power distribution functions easy to identify during commissioning and service.

Use in automation cabinets, machine controls and motor starter groups.

Check voltage, contact arrangement, release function or connection type before wiring.

Separate power wiring, control wiring and signalling paths inside the panel.

Mark the connected circuit and test the function after installation.

During commissioning, verify terminal tightening, mechanical engagement and response of the connected circuit. In maintenance, identify the accessory type together with the electrical data so the replacement preserves the same function in the assembly. The final check should include the operating sequence, the condition of the control wiring and the correspondence between the panel marking and the connected circuit.

When the component is used as a spare part, compare the circuit function before removal, the electrical data on the existing device and the position in the assembly. This check is especially important in starter panels where protection, command and signalling devices are mounted close together but perform different tasks. The check should be carried out with the panel de-energized and with reference to the machine functional diagram.

Motor protection circuit breaker for starter panels

This component protects a motor feeder in starter panels by combining manual switching with thermal and magnetic protection.
